Will TrollMaster run my battery down?- A. No. Trollmaster actually runs on less than 1 amp at 12 VDC when you are adjusting your throttle.
What does the IDLE control do on the TrollMaster
A. When trolling speed is set and the Idle button is depressed the TrollMaster will throttle down to the idle postion. Once the Idle button is depressed again the TrollMaster will return to the exact postition it was set previous.
What does the MAX THTL control do on the TrollMaster
A. That stands for Max Throttle. Upon depressing AND HOLDING DOWN the MAX THTL button on the remote you will achive appox 70% of mechanical throttle. When you release the button you will return to your trolling speed. The intention is for a temporary boost of power.
How precise is the throttle control on a TrollMaster?
- A. The TrollMaster offers different throttle control depending on your needs. If you only require general control then the PRO will fit your need. If you require 10x's the throttle control then the PRO2 or PRO3 will be required.
- Is TrollMaster hard to install?
- A.; No, but installing a TrollMaster requires basic tools and mechanical knowledge to install. We offer step-by-step install instructions with every product on an included CD. Or refer to our Installation Guide online to download the latest copy if available.
- Is TrollMaster waterproof?
- A. No. TrollMaster is water resistant but not submersible.
- Will TrollMaster shift my kicker motor into gear?
- A. No. The user must use the manufacture gear shift to engage the motor into and out of gear.
Can I steer my kicker with a TrollMaster?
- A. Yes. The TrollMaster PRO 3, in conjuction with a Panther ElectroSteer.
- NOTE: If this will be a NEW install of TrollMaster AND ElectroSteer we now sell the Panther ElectroSteer without the electronics. Make sure the part number for the ElectroSteer you order has NE at the end so you do not pay for an extra wiring harnesses!
